Car washing after painting may be done, but it’s best to avoid commercial car washes or hard brushes/bristles for at least 30 days after getting your car painted as they may damage the newly painted area.  You should not wax your newly painted car for 30 days, either.  You may use a soft cloth, mild car wash, and cool (not hot) clean water in a shaded/covered area.
